MARINERS ARE HEREBY ADVISED that, between 24th May 2023 and 27th May 2023 geotechnical surveys are due to be undertaken within the approaches to the East Channel and SW towards the Pilot Station.
1. MARINERS ARE HEREBY ADVISED that, between 24th May 2023 and 27th May 2023 geotechnical surveys are due to be undertaken within the approaches to the East Channel and SW towards the Pilot Station.
2. On Wednesday 24th May the survey vessel “FUGRO SCOUT” will be operating in approx. position: 51° 39’ 37.3364” N 005° 09’ 31.4149” W, 7 cables South of Sheep Buoy. (see chart for positions click here).
3. On Saturday 27th May she will be surveying in approx. position: 51° 36’ 49.5085” N 005° 11’ 27.8621” W, between Turbot Buoy Bank and Milford Haven Pilot Station. (See chart for positions click here).
4. During the survey campaign the vessel will be deploying underwater survey equipment and will be stationary, all other vessels should observe an exclusion zone 100m around “FUGRO SCOUT”.
5. The survey vessel “FUGRO SCOUT” will be showing the appropriate day shapes and lights as laid down in the regulations and will maintain a listening watch on VHF channels 12 and 16 whilst operating within a 10nm range of St Ann’s Head.
6. Mariners are required to navigate with caution in these areas whilst survey vessel is in operation, pass by with minimum wake and observe the 100m exclusion zone.
