JUB with Crane operating around PDFT to replace Mooring Dolphin U.

  1. MARINERS ARE HEREBY ADVISED that, works to replace Dolphin U at PDFT, using a JUB and Crane, will commence W/C 23rd June for approx. six weeks. 
  2. The Jack Up Barge (JUB) “C7”, 30m x 18m, is due to arrive under tow on or around 23rd June.  It will be moored at Port of Pembroke to be mobilised before moving to position South of Mooring Dolphin U (see diagram) to undertake replacement of said dolphin. 
  3. Workboat Pontoon E to be removed from the piles for the duration. 
  4. When the ferry has passed Wear Spit inbound until berthed and all fast (ramp down and commenced discharge) then no work to take place and the crane jib boom to be positioned fore and aft (North / South) orientation with the long boom to the South. 
  5. Once ferry all fast then work to recommence as agreed until ferry gives 15mins notice for sailing, when work to be secured and jib boom placed North/South again until ferry has cleared DYB4 outbound.
