An ADCP device will be deployed on the seabed to the East of the water intakes for RWE Pembroke Power Station.

1.  MARINERS ARE HEREBY ADVISED that, on Tuesday 10th October 2023, an ADCP device will be deployed on the seabed to the East of the water intakes for RWE Pembroke Power Station, in approximate position:  51o 41.70’ N 004o 59.15’ W.


2.  The workboat “Willtango” will be carrying out the deployment and will be displaying the appropriate shapes for a vessel restricted in her ability to manoeuver in accordance with the Collision Regulations.  She will also be maintaining a listening watch on VHF Channel 12 at all times.  The equipment deployed comprises of an orange seabed frame containing the monitoring equipment. Due to its proximity to the Power Station Water Intakes it is not marked by a surface buoy.

 

 

3.  It is intended for the monitoring equipment to remain in situ for approximately 30 days therefore mariners should avoid this area until it is recovered and this Notice cancelled.


4.  Survey works will also be carried out on or around the 17th October 2023 by the survey vessel “UKD Resolution” in the Intake Channel, in approximate position:  51o 41.90’ N 004o 59.05’ W, she will be displaying the appropriate shapes for a vessel restricted in her ability to manoeuver in accordance with the Collision Regulations.  She will also be maintaining a listening watch on VHF Channel 12 at all times.


5.  This Notice will be cancelled when the monitoring equipment is removed.
