Between Tuesday 11th July 2023 and Friday 21st July 2023 boulder clearance works will take place across Port Limits from Freshwater West to Waterford.
- MARINERS ARE HEREBY ADVISED that, between Tuesday 11th July 2023 and Friday 21st July 2023 boulder Clearance works will be taking place along the proposed route of the Greenlink Interconnector cable across Port Limits from Freshwater West to Waterford (see chartlet).
- Boulder clearance work will be conducted by the Support Vessel “OLYMPIC ELECTRA” which will maintain a listening watch at all times on VHF Channels 12 & 16.
- In order to locate the boulders on the seabed and remove them, she will be deploying a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) and large grab from a large A-frame on her starboard side.
- “OLYMPIC ELECTRA” will be showing the appropriate day shapes and lights as laid down in the Collision Regulations when restricted in her ability to manoeuvre.
- Mariners are required to navigate with caution in these areas whilst operations are taking place, to pass by with minimum wake and observe the 500m exclusion zone guarding her operations.
