Milford Haven is set to welcome summer with the launch of a new festival ‘Harbour Fest’ which will take place on Saturday 27th June, bringing a day of coastal celebration to Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire. Starting from 10am, activities will be held across the entire waterfront showcasing its maritime heritage, alongside a mix of local businesses, traders and organisations.

Live music, food and family-friendly activities will feature throughout the day, with independent businesses hosting musicians, workshops and demonstrations as part of a varied programme.

Mackerel Quay will be home to a dedicated Marine Zone where visitors can meet organisations working in marine conservation, safety and coastal education, offering insight into the work shaping the local coastline. Alongside this, a selection of traders will offer artisan food, drink and handcrafted goods from across Pembrokeshire and West Wales.

Lucy Wonnacott, Head of Communications & Marketing at the Port of Milford Haven, said: “Harbour Fest Milford Haven is a welcome addition to the Milford Waterfront events calendar and a great way to mark the start of the summer season.

It brings together our businesses, local producers and maritime organisations, reflecting the character of the destination and its connection to the water. We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to enjoy the day and experience everything Milford Waterfront has to offer.”

Visitors are encouraged to follow Milford Waterfront on social media for the latest updates ahead of the event.

For those looking to extend their visit, Tŷ Milford Waterfront offers a four-star stay with 100 bedrooms, alongside its distinctive Floatel Rooms located within Milford Marina.

Milford Waterfront

Milford Waterfront is a multi-million pound regeneration project being led by the Port of Milford Haven. It aims to continue to develop the area which is home to Milford Marina and Milford Fish Docks into a vibrant destination, adding to the existing mix of leisure, retail and dining businesses and boosting the economy by providing long term, sustainable jobs.

Fashion boutiques and fine dining, watersports and culture are anchored alongside international maritime trade and Milford Haven’s rich heritage. The vibrant multi-million pound Milford Waterfront Development ensures that we continue to provide visitors who travel here by land and sea with a first rate leisure experience.

A number of flagship projects have already been completed at the site including the opening of four custom-built Floatel Cabins, which offer a restful retreat for visitors looking for a unique glamping experience. In April 2022 the new 100 bedroom Ty Hotel operated by the Celtic Collection opened allowing more visitors to stay and experience all of the new and existing attractions here at Pembrokeshire’s hidden gem.

The Milford Waterfront development celebrates the arts, culture and heritage of the area, working in partnership with key stakeholders such as Milford Museum, The Waterfront Gallery and the Milford Haven Round Table.

The Port already hosts a busy calendar of events at Milford Waterfront such as its popular Beer Festival, Milford Haven Carnival Fireworks Night and more. Children’s activities and seasonal events such as Easter walkabout entertainment and Christmas themed events also take place throughout the year, more information can be found on the What’s On page.
