From 20th July 2023 for approx. 5 days, the Cable Laying Vessel “MV CONNECTOR” will be conducting a Pre-Lay Survey off the entrance to the Port.

  1. MARINERS ARE HEREBY ADVISED that, from 20th July 2023 for approx. 5 days, the Cable Laying Vessel “MV CONNECTOR” will be conducting a Pre-Lay Survey off the entrance to the Port.
  2. The MV Connector is a DP3 Class Cable Laying Vessel, 157m LOA, and will display appropriate lights and day shapes as per the regulations.
  3. The vessel will be deploying a dived Remote Operated Vessel (ROV), mariners are requested to pass no closer than 0.5nm and keep wash to a minimum.
  4. Please see Chart 1 for overview of the Greenlink Cable, and Chart 2 for details within Port Limits.
  5. Vessel will maintain listening watch on VHF CH12 whilst within Port Limits and liaise with VTS for other large vessel movements.
  6. Admiralty Chart 2878 (Approaches), 3273 (Entrance), 3274 (West Haven and Imray Y26 & 2600 ATLAS refer.
  7. This notice will be cancelled when the Pre-Lay Survey is completed.
