On Sunday 9th July 2023, kayak racing will take place in Cosheston Pill from 11:00 to 13:00.

  1. MARINERS ARE HEREBY ADVISED that, on Sunday 9th July 2023, kayak racing will take place in Cosheston Pill.
  2. Racing will start around 11:00 hrs. and finish around 13:00 hrs., the entrance buoyage (approximate position 51°42'01.7"N 4°55'12.2"W) will be the start and finish line and extend to a mark near the end of the Pill.
  3. Safety cover will compromise of six safety kayaks and a Rhib who can be contacted on VHF channel 12.
  4. Approximately 30 competitors will take part, both youth and adult.
  5. Mariners are requested to exercise caution in the vicinity of Cosheston Pill and in particular pass wide and slow near the entrance.
