One of the two OREC Wavebuoys deployed at St Ann’s Head by ORE Catapult has been recovered. One remains in position as per position noted below and is expected to be on station until April 2026.

  1. MARINERS ARE HEREBY ADVISED that, one of the two OREC Wavebuoys deployed at St Ann’s Head by ORE Catapult has been recovered. One remains in position as per position noted below and is expected to be on station until April 2026.
  2. Remaining buoy is currently deployed in the following position:
    • Wave buoy 1 (1 km offshore): 51° 40.741’ N 005° 11.407’ W (20 m CD)
  3. Buoy has a 90cm spherical hull, painted yellow and features a yellow light with characteristics Fl(5)Y20s and is secured  to the seabed with a 500kg sinker and a single riser.  Mariners are required to navigate with caution in this area.
