From Tuesday 1st July to Wednesday 16th July, a programme of benthic grab sample surveys will take place within Port Limits and the surrounding coastal waters.

  1. MARINERS ARE HEREBY ADVISED that, from Tuesday 1st July for approximately 2 weeks, a programme of benthic grab sample surveys will take place within Port Limits and the surrounding coastal waters. 
  2. Sampling will be conducted inside Port Limits in the vicinity of Turbot Bank approximate position 51°37.50'N 005°08.20'W. 
  3. The survey vessel SEVERN GUARDIAN will conduct the sampling activities and will monitor VHF channel 12 at all times when operating within port limits. 
  4. Sampling activities will also be conducted outside port limits in the areas below: 
    1. The Knoll approximate location 51°42.75'N 005°17.50'W. 
    2. St Brides Bay approximate location 51°49.00'N 005°12.00'W. 
    3. Bais Bank approximate location 51°57.00'N 005°22.00'W. 
  5. Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the vicinity of SEVERN GUARDIAN during sampling operations. 
  6. Admiralty charts 2878, 3273, 1973, 1478 and IMRAY 2600 atlas refer. 
  7. A further notice will be issued on completion of the sampling.
