The Port of Milford Haven has announced the appointment of Dr Rebecca Heaton and Owen Davies as Non-Executive Directors following a rigorous recruitment process. They will join the Board later this year, bringing significant expertise in sustainability, renewables, regional development and placemaking at an important time for the Port and the wider Pembrokeshire economy.
Rebecca Heaton joins the Board with a strong background in sustainability, climate policy and energy transition. With more than 25 years' experience across major organisations including Lloyds Banking Group, Drax Group, OVO Energy, Shell and BP, Rebecca has built a reputation as one of the UK's leading sustainability professionals.
Her experience spans governance, risk management, stakeholder engagement, climate policy and commercial strategy. She has held seats on the Climate Change Committee and the Natural Environment Research Council and has been recognised through honorary doctorates from Bangor University and Loughborough University for her contribution to climate change, public policy and corporate sustainability.
As the Port continues to build on its position as one of the UK's most important energy hubs, supporting established industries while creating opportunities in emerging energy sectors, Rebecca's expertise will provide valuable insight to the Board.

Owen Davies joins the Board as a specialist in regional development, regeneration and placemaking, bringing more than 30 years' experience working across Wales, the UK and internationally. A Chartered Town Planner and Fellow of the Institute of Place Management, Owen has previously advised Welsh Government on regional economic frameworks and has also held roles as a UK Government High Streets Task Force Expert and as an adviser to Welsh Government on town centre regeneration and community engagement. He’s also advised private and community sector organisations on economic development, infrastructure investment and long-term regeneration strategies.
His extensive experience includes master-planning and regeneration projects within marine and waterfront environments, as well as significant work across coastal communities in Wales, including Pembrokeshire. Owen currently leads his own consultancy practice and serves in a number of governance and advisory roles, including as an adviser to the Canal & River Trust in Wales and Chair of the Plas Gunter Mansion Trust.
The Port's role as a catalyst for regional growth, investment and prosperity makes Owen's experience particularly relevant as the organisation continues to support the ambitions of the Celtic Freeport and wider economic development across South West Wales.

The appointments come as Debra Bowen Rees and Erica Cassin complete their terms as Non-Executive Directors.
