Bangor University will conduct intertidal seagrass area surveys and sampling in Gelliswick Bay and Angle Bay from 9th-11th Sept 2025.

  1. MARINERS ARE HEREBY ADVISED that, Bangor University will be carrying out intertidal seagrass area surveys and sampling at Gelliswick Bay and Angle Bay from 9th to 11th Sept 2025 (See below images with marked operational areas).




  2. Work will mainly take place during low tide. A snorkel survey will also be undertaken in Gelliswick area subject to suitable tide and weather conditions.
  3. Mariners are requested to navigate with caution and pass at a safe speed when operating in these areas. 
  4. Admiralty Charts 3274, 3275, IMRAY Y26, and 2600 Atlas refer.
  5. This Notice to Mariners will self-cancel at 23:59 on 11th Sept 2025.
