The MET OFFICE has issued the following Strong Winds Inshore Forecast for Friday 18th August:

WIND
Easterly or southeasterly 4 to 6 veering southerly or southeasterly 6 to gale 8, occasionally severe gale 9 in west, then veering southwesterly later.
SEA STATE
Slight or moderate, becoming rough or very rough later, and then high later in far west.
WEATHER
Rain or showers, perhaps thundery.
VISIBILITY
Moderate or good, occasionally poor.

Looking at local forecasting the strongest winds will likely occur around High Water PM 18th August 2023 and also High Water AM 19th August 2023.

Mooring holders are reminded to check the security of their mooring tackle and consider alternatives for ensuring the safety of their vessel, including, but not limited to additional lines, extra chafe protection or seeking an alternative berth option.
