Milford Waterfront is bringing free family Easter fun to Pembrokeshire once again this year with walkabout entertainment, face painting and more.

From the 23rd March to the 7th April families will be able to take part in the Milford Waterfront Easter Trail, where children can search high and low all over Milford Waterfront for baskets brimming with colourful eggs to complete the trail sheet. Trail forms can be collected from outside the Milford Marina reception, Tŷ Milford Waterfront reception, and Milford Haven Museum. Or download a copy from the Milford Waterfront website from Saturday 23rd March. Completed trail forms can then be handed in at Milford Marina reception for the chance to win an Easter Hamper and a giant Easter bunny.

On the 27th March, Rascal the Easter Bunny will be stopping by at Milford Museum to spread the Easter excitement between 12-2pm.

Furthermore, talented face paint artist Gabrielle Swales will be at Milford Museum on 3rd April between 12pm – 1pm and 1:30pm – 2:30pm offering free face painting.

Milford Waterfront will also be visited by Danger UXB Museum on the 6th and 7th April. Commemorating 80 years since D-Day, the exhibit is hands-on and features historical artifacts for families to learn more about the role that Milford Haven played in World War 2.

Natalie Hunt, Destination Manager for Milford Waterfront commented on the exciting plans, saying: “Easter is always so much fun for us here at Milford Waterfront! We love being able to put on fun free activities for families to enjoy when they come to visit our amazing range of shops and restaurants over the Easter holidays. It’s a great start to the season, and we are looking forward to a bright and fun year with everyone!”

Milford Waterfront’s businesses have plenty on offer over the Easter period too, with paddleboarding and kayaking at Milford Haven Beach Activity Centre, Parkruns every Saturday at 9am, an exhibit celebrating fascinating Pembrokeshire marine life at the Waterfront Gallery, and local produce from the shops and restaurants.

Milford Waterfront

Milford Waterfront is a multi-million pound regeneration project being led by the Port of Milford Haven. It aims to continue to develop the area which is home to Milford Marina and Milford Fish Docks into a vibrant destination, adding to the existing mix of leisure, retail and dining businesses and boosting the economy by providing long term, sustainable jobs.

Fashion boutiques and fine dining, high-octane watersports and culture are anchored alongside international maritime trade and Milford Haven’s rich heritage. The vibrant multi-million pound Milford Waterfront Development continues to provide visitors who travel here by land and sea with a first rate leisure experience.

A number of flagship projects have already been completed at the site including the opening of four custom-built Floatel Cabins, which offer a restful retreat for visitors looking for a unique glamping experience. In April 2022 the new 100 bedroom Ty Hotel operated by the Celtic Collection opened allowing more visitors to stay and experience all of the new and existing attractions here at Pembrokeshire’s hidden gem.

The Milford Waterfront development celebrates the arts, culture and heritage of the area, working in partnership with key stakeholders such as Milford Museum, The Waterfront Gallery and the Milford Haven Round Table.

The Port already hosts a busy calendar of events at Milford Waterfront such as its popular Beer Festival, Street Food Festival, Fireworks Night and more. Children’s activities and seasonal events such as easter walkabout entertainment and Santa visits also take place throughout the year, more information can be found on the What’s On page.
