Surveys within 10nm of St Ann’s Head including approach to the East Channel of Milford Haven on 4th June.
- MARINERS ARE HEREBY ADVISED that a geotechnical survey is due to be undertaken by the Survey Vessel “FUGRO SCOUT” from 4th June for approximately 7 days, within 10nm of St Ann’s Head including the approaches to the East Channel.
- This will include surveying in the position 51° 39’ 37.3364” N 005° 09’ 31.4149” W, approx. 7 cables South of Sheep Buoy. (see chart for positions).
- This will include surveying in the position 51° 36’ 49.5085” N 005° 11’ 27.8621” W, approx. equal distance between Turbot Buoy Bank and Milford Haven Pilot Station. (See chart for positions).
- For positions 2 & 3 as per above, these will be carefully coordinated with VTS and Pilot embarked as appropriate.
- During the survey campaign the vessel will be deploying underwater Cone Penetration Test / Vibrocore equipment, and the vessel will be stationary, all other vessels are requested to maintain a distance 100m whilst within Port Limits.
- The FUGRO SCOUT will be showing the appropriate day shapes and lights as laid down in the regulations and will maintain a listening watch on VHF channels 12 and 16 whilst operating within a 10nm range of St Ann’s Head.
- Mariners are required to navigate with caution in these areas whilst survey vessel is in operation.
