MARINERS ARE HEREBY ADVISED that, on Wednesday 5th April 2023, Swansea University will be deploying specialized test equipment to the META site at Warrior Way
1. MARINERS ARE HEREBY ADVISED that, on Wednesday 5th April 2023, Swansea University will be deploying specialized test equipment to the META site at Warrior Way in approximate position 51o 42.19’ N 004o 55.65’ W. It will sit 1.5m above the riverbed and a minimum of 11m below the surface at low tide. It is not marked by any surface buoy as it is not considered to be a danger to navigation for the size and type of vessels found upriver of the Cleddau Bridge.
2. The Rudders Boatyard workboat “RB1” will be conducting the tow, supported by the RHIB “RB3”. “RB1” will maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 12 throughout the towage operations.
3. It is intended for the test equipment to remain in situ for approximately 35 days therefore mariners should navigate with caution and consider it to ben underwater obstruction.
4. This Notice will be cancelled when it is removed.
