West Wales Dragon Sailing event in Dale, coached racing for beginners and Junior fleets

  1. MARINERS ARE HEREBY ADVISED that, Dale Yacht Club in conjunction with Celtic Sea Watersports will host the West Wales Dragon Series Dinghy races on the waterway on Monday 25th August 2025. 
  2. All racing will start and finish in Dale Bay (approximate position 51°42'32"N 5°09'38"W) and extend from Watwick Point, East to Stack Fort, remaining North of the main navigation channel. Courses will be determined by the prevailing wind on the day.
  3. Up to 25 vessels and 3 safety boats are anticipated to be on the water during the event, along with the committee boat.
  4. Racing will start around 09:00hrs and end by 18:00hrs.
  5. Mariners are requested to pass wide and slow of the fleet as most will be young sailors. 
  6. The committee boat will monitor VHF Channel 12.
