Milford Dock Mackerel Stage - Use of Pontoon Guidelines

Due to possible safety of navigation issues guidelines have been introduced regarding approach and use of the pontoon.

1. MARINERS ARE HEREBY ADVISED that, the Milford Dock Mackerel Stage Pontoon in approx. charted position Lat 51°42.57’N Long 005° 02.21’W now has in force a set of guidelines for its use. These guidelines are as follows: 
   • All vessels must notify Pier Head on Channel 14 when approaching or departing.
   • For short-term use only - maximum stay 15 minutes.
   • Vessels must not be left unattended on the pontoon.
   • No bunkering or pump-out is permitted on the pontoon.
   • Approach at dead slow speed and observe the 5-knot limit.
2. Mariners are required to navigate with caution in the area.
3. Admiralty charts 3274, 3275 and Imray Y26 & 2600 ATLAS refer.
4. This notice will remain in force when the pontoon is in place.
