General Information

Marina Office
The Marina office is directly opposite the head of the main gangway and staff are willing to help 24 hours a day. The office may be locked for short periods whilst the duty berthing master is conducting security patrols. During this time he can be contacted on VHF channel 37, call sign 'Milford Marina'.
Security and Pontoon Access
Access to the main pontoon is via the coded security gate at the top of the main gangway. The code number is changed regularly and can be obtained from the Marina Office. Berth holders are requested to inform Marina Control of their general sailing plans if possible and of any special security systems in place on their vessel. Berth holders should satisfy themselves that they have taken all reasonable precautions against theft. Spare keys can be kept securely in the office.
Insurance
All Marina users are required to hold third party liability insurance with a miniumum cover of £3 million.
Toilets and Showers
These facilities, including seperate facilities for ladies, are located adjacent to Marina Control and are available 24 hours a day (except during cleaning times). Access to these facilities is restricted to berth holders and visitors only. The security code can be obtained from Marina Control. Facilities for the disabled are located in the Marina Control building.
Laundry
The laundry facilities are located in the amenity building, which is accessible 24 hours a day.
Water and Electricity
240V/16amp electricity and fresh water is available to all berths. Water is free of charge, whilst eletricity is charged as per out standard tariff rates. Berth holders are requested not to alter the electrical equipment provided in any way. Please ensure that the on board end of the supply is connected before connecting to the pontoon socket.
Safety
SOS stations (comprising of a fire extinguisher and a life buoy) are strategically placed around the pontoons, as are fixed safety ladders. All berthing masters are trained in the use of emergency first aid and the first aid equipment is available from the Marina Office.
Young children should always be accompanied by an adult and should wear suitable lifejackets when on the pontoons or vessels.
Swimming and Diving
Swimming is not permitted at any time within the Marina and Docks. Diving operations are only permitted with the written consent of the Docks Manager and in compliance with current Health and Safety Legislation.
Trolleys
Trolleys are available from outside Marina Control. Please ensure that the trolleys are returned after use in a clean state, so as not to inconvenience other berth holders. Do not allow children to ride in the trolleys.
Mooring Lines and Warps
Please ensure that your vessel is moored with adequate breast lines, springs and fenders. Annual berth holders may make up permanent lines for their vessel if necessary. Please ensure that they do not obstruct users of other berths. Mooring lines must not be shackled to the cleats.
Waste Disposal
Refuse disposal is available behind the Marina Control building. The skip is for the disposal of domestic waste only and should not be used for any oily or toxic waste. Waste oil and battery disposal facilities are available - located within the central boatyard. No oil or fuel is to disposed of into the Marina at any time. Offenders will be prosecuted.
Car Parking
Ample car parking is available. Vehicles and contents are left at the owner's risk. Berth holders are requested not to obstruct the promenade or the main roadway.
Weather Forecasts
Weather forcasts are displayed on the notice board or are available for viewing from Marina Control. Milford Haven Port Control broadcasts local weather reports on NHF channels 12 and 14 at 0900 and 1500 hours. Milford Coastguard station broadcasts weather reports on channel 67 at 0735 and 1935 hours. Weather reports can be requested from the coastguard outside these times by calling them on VHF channel 16.
Notice to Mariners
Notices to Mariners are displayed on the Marina notice board; back copies are available from the Marina Office.
Slipway
There are two slipways, one of which is located at the upper end of the Dock for launching/recovery to and from the Haven. Please ensure that Marina Control is informed before using the slipway, so as not to obstruct the boat hoist.
Fuel and Gas
Diesel is available 24 hours by prior arrangement with the berthing master. Berth holders are requested to avoid taking diesel during free flow if at all possible. Most gas requirements can be catered for via Marina Control. Petrol is available from the filling station opposite the main Marina entrance.
Pets
Pets should not be allowed to inconvenience other Marina users. Please ensure that they are kept on a leash at all times, especially on the pontoons. Do not allow them to foul the Marina or surrounding land.
Fishing
Fishing is not allowed within the Marina
